HOW GROWING MULTISITE CHURCHES ALLOCATE SERVICE TIME

Pathfinders Presentation.001.jpeg

The majority of churches have three elements in a service - worship, *hosting and a message. These three elements go by different names like singing, announcements and preaching. And sometimes there are additional unique elements like baptism, communion and budget votes in a service. But generally speaking the typical American church service consists of these three elements.

*Hosting includes meeting & greet, offering, announcements & dismissal

I wanted to know how thriving multisite churches allocated service time to these elements. So I asked them. The results were shocking. On average these churches had…

  • Service 69 minutes

  • Worship 22.3 minutes

  • Hosting 6 minutes

  • Message 40.7 minutes

Below is a breakdown of each church.
